We try to break from the frozen monotony. But even this state of breaking out requires breaking out itself...
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is out. Queerly, I don't feel so excited about the book. I've gotten past 4.5 chapters, skimmed the book and have the general idea of major events in the book. What can I say?
And I boycotted open house today. I feel that this year's open house committee did a pretty poor job on publicity. I could probably go around and criticise a lot more of the people involved in open house, but I shan't do that. My last year, and I boycotted open house.
I'm still trying to work out what to do with my life. But I know it isn't going to involve you, you, or you and you, or you. I wonder who I was referring to, but I guess it doesn't matter.
I did a second draft of one of my stories. Somehow, I've lost the flair I possessed when I was (nice and) angsty. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to evoke graphic images or bring the words to life. I don't like being angsty, but it's not too bad a trade-off.
It's all a very dear, well-spun lie. It's the spider web you unknowingly stepped into, and are now bound to. It's the air you breathe. It's the substance that's breaking your body down into minute pieces. And it's what the remnants of your soul will be.

Standard took a plunge in my opinion. I didn't like their half-blood prince theory, from what I've seen so far... it wasn't in the least foreshadowed in the past. ^.^
And the person who died. WHY!?

I think that he/ she was somewhat out of character for part of the book. ^.^
Then again, I thought that for Harry as well.
Okay, from what I've

Harry is sixteen remember, he was far more angsty in Book 5 than the others because hormones were raging and he was all misunderstood. He's probably different in this one because he's matured a bit, 'specially after Sirius's death. And the dead person was in character in my opinion, maybe you skimmed a bad patch.

I'm glad you disagree with your teacher, because I do too. Where would mannerism go if History etiquette became everyday life?
I don't like Ginny in Book 6! Neither does my friend... she was very upset with Book 6 in general. She kind of liked the guy who murdered the victim, and was more upset about him than the death of the victim.
Death does kind of shake people. Yup. ^.^
I have, um, 416 more pages to go. I'll get back to critiquing when I'm done with them.
Hope you're fine, Zee-Lee.

My heart goes out to the first animal and the last human who died in the book.
I like that charrie too, Daffles. It was so obvious he/ she was going to die.
